1. Contract. The contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the Client and Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages. The contract will be entered into when Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages issues the confirmation letter and will be subject to all the following booking conditions.
2. Payment. A deposit of one third of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more that eight weeks before the commencement of the rental. Final payment of the balance should be made no later than eight weeks before commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rental by the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the client.
For bookings made less than eight weeks before the commencement of the rental the total rental fee is payable on booking.
All cheques shall be made to Mr J.L. Martin.
3. Cancellation. Any cancellations made by the Client for whatever reason shall be in writing. On receipt of notice of cancellation, Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages will seek to re-let the property. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages will seek to re-let the property for the whole period of the booking. If Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period it shall refund all monies paid less an administration charge of £50 per week booked. If it is unable to re-let the property at all, then all monies paid by the Client shall be forfeit to Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages. It is strongly recommended that Clients take out Cancellation Insurance to protect against the cancellation penalty.
4. Period of hire. Rentals commence, unless otherwise notified, at 3pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10am on the day of departure.
5. Number of persons using the property. The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated on this website. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.
6. Complaints. Should there be any cause for complaint, it must be notified immediately to us. In the case of a serious problem please confirm in writing.
7. Right of Entry. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs of maintenance.
8. Care of the property. The Client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property, the games room and the swimming pool room, and leave them in the same state of repair and cleanliness, and in the same place as found on arrival.
9. Refundable deposit for breakages, damages and good housekeeping. The Client is requested to pay a refundable deposit cheque for £200 for the Coach House and/or £100 for each of the cottages. Cheques should be made payable to Mr J.L. Martin and undated. These cheques will be destroyed the week after departure. Deposit cheque(s) should be forwarded with the final rental payment referred to in paragraph 2. In the event of any breakages, repairs or extra cleaning, the charge will be taken from the deposit cheque and the balance returned.
10. Smoking. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages regrets that smoking is not permitted inside any of the properties, the games room or the swimming pool room. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages reserves the right to retain the deposit cheque if this condition is not observed.
11. Pets. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages regrets that it does not accept pets. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed.
12. Car Parking. Guests park their cars in the grounds of Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages at their own risk.
13. Liability. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages does not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise.
14. Warrant. Haveringland Hall Coach House & Cottages does not warrant and is not responsible for the accuracy of any verbal information given, or statements made by any servants or agents.
15. Accidents. Guests must accept responsibility for their children's safety at all times. No child may use the swimming pool or use equipment unaccompanied.
